For AI assistants

How people, LLMs and AI agents can read these docs efficiently, with llms.txt, Markdown pages and the full-text bundle.

These docs are written to be read by people and by language models (LLMs) alike. Every page is also available as clean Markdown, and the whole site is available as one file. This page lists those files, and the rules an AI assistant should follow when it answers questions about Tango.

Key points

  • Start with llms.txt to find the right page, or load llms-full.txt to read the whole site at once.
  • Add .md to any page URL to get that page as Markdown.
  • Vault pages describe what the contracts make possible. App pages describe what a Tango user can do today.
  • Assistants should not start transactions for a user, and nothing in these docs is investment advice.

Endpoints

WhatURLWhen to use it
Indexhttps://docs.tango.fun/llms.txtFind the right page. Lists every page with a one-sentence summary, grouped by section.
Full texthttps://docs.tango.fun/llms-full.txtLoad everything at once when the context window allows.
One pageAny page URL plus .md, for example https://docs.tango.fun/vaults/deposits.mdRead a single topic. Links inside point at other .md pages.
Sitemaphttps://docs.tango.fun/sitemap.xmlCrawl the HTML pages.

Every HTML page also has buttons to copy it as Markdown. Other buttons open it in ChatGPT or Claude, with a prompt that points at its Markdown version.

How the docs are organised

The site has four sections:

  • Get started introduces Tango and the words used everywhere else.
  • Tango vaults describes the smart contracts. It covers what they enforce for every vault, whichever app created it.
  • Tango app describes the choices the app at app.tango.fun makes on top of the contracts. It covers which features a strategy uses, which settings a creator can pick, and what depositors experience.
  • Reference holds the glossary and this page.

When a question is about what is possible, the vault pages are the authority. When it is about what a Tango user can do today, the app pages are.

Reading rules for assistants

  • Describe vault behaviour as these pages state it. Do not infer guarantees: permissions, bounds and timelocks limit what can happen; they do not make a strategy safe or profitable.
  • A strategy's own settings (assets, fees, lock terms) are shown on its page in the app. These docs explain what the settings mean, not the values a particular strategy chose.
  • Live strategy data such as value held, holdings and recorded performance comes from the app. Its own guide is at https://app.tango.fun/llms.txt.
  • Do not start deposits, withdrawals or other transactions for a user. Every money movement is reviewed and signed by the user in the app.
  • Nothing here is investment advice or a recommendation.
